Shop By Unit helps you compare grocery and household products by unit price across online store listings. This page explains what information is involved when you use the site.
What we store on your device
Your saved list and recent searches are kept in your browser’s local storage on this device. That data stays on your device unless you clear site data or use another browser.
What we process to show results
When you search, browse aisles, open deals, or optimize a list, our servers request product listings from third-party shopping search providers. Those requests include your search terms and may include standard technical data (such as IP address) that hosting and API providers see as part of normal web traffic.
Cookies and analytics
Shop By Unit does not currently use advertising cookies or a third-party analytics product on the site itself. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may process request logs as part of running the service.
Affiliate and outbound shopping
Buy and cart links send you to retailer sites. Those retailers have their own privacy practices. See our affiliate disclosure.
